Ubersite: Gisele shines at Benefit Auction

Yesterday, September 12th, our supermodel attended the launching of the first Brazilian edition of the Fashion’s Night Out event created by Anna Wintour, US Vogue editor-in-chief.
As the Official Ambassador of the fashion night, Gisele raised the first glass in celebration and began the auction of the dresses she wore in the editorial in Vogue Brazil July 2011. When hitting the stage, Gisele said that she loved wearing the eight outfits created by contemporary designers inspired by the pioneers of Brazilian fashion scene. She was the one who came up with the idea of auctioning the exclusive gowns, so that the proceeds could be used to support NGO’s dedicated to preserving the environment.
Gisele handpicked the beneficiaries so as to ensure the money will be well used towards important and effective organizations. They are: “Projeto Água Limpa” (Clean Water Project), “Eu Manejo o Mundo de um Jeito Sustentável (I Manage the World in a Sustainable Way) and the Kisêdjê tribe, who had their village recently devastated by a fire. The auction will be held on the internet, and to bid, visit the website sold.com.br and click on the icon “leilão beneficente da Gisele Bündchen para Vogue Fashion´s Night Out”.
Some of the designers who created the outfits also attended the event. Always friendly, Gisele took pictures with the staff of Vogue Brazil and answered some questions for journalists.
Our model was honored for supporting the Brazilian fashion industry since the beginning of her career and helping expose Brazil as a big player on the  international stage.
Check out below some pictures of the event and the gowns that are being auctioned. What a great event – mobilizing the world of fashion around great environmental causes!
