Our Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment was nominated for the International Green Awards – Category Best Green Celebrity. This year the event which is now in its sixth year included this award to recognize the work of celebrities who not only show a true commitment to the environment, but also use their image to inspire people to do the same around the world.
There are 15 nominees. Celebrities from different parts of the world and different artistic genres such as Paul McCartney, Sting, Cameron Diaz, Don Cheadle. These are celebrities who, like Gisele, have used their public images to draw attention and raise awareness about the effects of climate change and environmental degradation over the past five years.
The voting has already started and we count on your participation to choose Gisele. Visit the Award’s official website and choose our supermodel as the best green celebrity. You can also spread the word on Twitter, using #GreenAwardsCelebrity, and other social media sites. The one who receives the most votes from the public will be the winner. The award-giving ceremony will take place on November 24th in London.
